Where do I work?............ I work in Kew on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
How long have I worked in Mental Health?............ 3 Years. In my past career I was a secondary school teacher and had specialist roles in student wellbeing.
Mental Health Experience............ I have worked in public health (community health and hospital), private practice, and university health services with people of all ages, providing clinical and cognitive assessments.
Who do I treat?............ Adults and teens above 16 years. People who speak English, Hindi and Urdu.
Areas of expertise............ Depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, sleep, and ADHD. Life challenges including; work, health conditions, personality and relationships, and abuse. I also treat body image issues and women's health.
My therapy style............ I treat all clients with compassion, respect and dignity using a whole person-centred approach. I aim to create a warm, empathetic therapeutic space, where clients feel supported, and are gently guided to work through their psychological issues. I am flexible in my approach and aim to collaboratively with each person to tailor therapeutic approaches to the clients’ needs. I work with evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
